Each year, the Annual Education Conference planning committee asks CSBA members to submit workshop and table talk proposals for programming consideration. This peer-to-peer teaching model ensures that AEC programming is relevant to the current needs and realities of board members from across the state, and provides a platform for sharing valuable information.
Presenting as part of a workshop or table talk gives board members, governance teams and administrative staff the opportunity to share best practices, programs and ideas that have been particularly successful in their local districts and county offices. Such information and idea sharing is a highlight of the conference for many participants who look forward to the opportunity each year.
Proposals for AEC 2013 are due by Friday, April 5 and can relate to any of this year’s strands:
- Common Core State Standards
- Community partnerships, engagement and advocacy
- The digital age
- Funding, finance and facilities
- Leadership through governance
- School safety
- Student achievement
Interested in submitting a proposal? Download the Call for Proposals here, or visit the AEC website for more information and to access the online proposal system.
Information on selected programming will be available to members through the AEC summer booklet. Check your mailbox for your copy this July and August.
